Go to TIAA.org and log in to your account any time.
Once logged in, you’ll quickly see how your portfolio is doing. Action buttons and other links can provide account details to help you manage your investments.
There are several ways you can manage your account online. You can display your account information by employer, plan or contract. For each plan, click Actions to open a transactions menu, then choose the one you want.
Alternatively, you can click My Account at the top of your home page and choose from a menu of choices. Select Manage Investments in the Retirement Plans & IRA section for a list of transactions available to manage your investments.
Click My Account at the top of your account home page to open the menu of choices for managing your account. Then, select Research Investments in the Retirement Plans & IRA section.
Use this overview page to see the investments available in the plans and accounts you have. Green check marks will indicate the investments you’re in today. Hover over or click on the investment names to open performance details.
Look for the I Want To list of frequently used links – you’ll find this on several pages.
Use the Change My Investments button to move assets between funds you have in a particular account—that is, moving your money from one fund to another. Select one of your accounts and you’ll see a chart of your asset allocation, and a listing of the funds in each.
Use the calendar to input the date you want to make the change. You can choose a date within the upcoming 12 months.
You’ll find a list of the funds where you currently hold assets. Select how you want to view the page—by percentage or dollars —then use the boxes to indicate which fund and how much you want to transfer. The amounts you select must add up to 100% or match the total dollar amount you’re transferring. You can also choose Transfer All for a one-click selection. The minimum transfer requirement is $1,000 or 100% of the account value if less than $1,000 for each fund selected.
Again, you’ll find a list of the funds available to you. Select how you want to view the page—by percentage or dollars —then use the boxes to indicate which fund and how much you want to transfer. Your allocations must add up to 100% or match the total dollar amount. You can also choose Transfer All for a one-click selection.
If you have a brokerage account through your plan, you’ll see an option to transfer funds as part of that account. Keep in mind, you can only transfer one fund at a time in the brokerage window.
You may see information messages along the way to help explain and verify your selections.
Want to reconsider your selections before moving on? Click Go Back to review your selections. When you’re comfortable with your selections, click the box to confirm your review and use Submit to process your selections. Of course, you can use Cancel to stop the process and start again later. Note: You may see an information message specific to the selections you've made.
Once you click Submit, you’ll see an acknowledgement of your selections. You’ll also see convenient links to more actions you can take to manage your account.
Keeping an eye on your transaction history is easy. Click My Account at the top of your home page to open the menu of choices for managing your account. Then, select Pending Investment Changes from the Retirement Plans & IRA section.
You can select any—or all—of your pending transactions to make changes or cancel them. Keep in mind that changes made before 4 p.m. ET (or market close) will be effective that day; changes made after 4 p.m. ET (or market close) will be effective the next day. Come back to this page to check the status—and we’ll also send you a confirmation of your transactions.
Click My Account at the top of your account home page to open the menu of choices for managing your account. Then, select Statements & Reports.
If you’re signed up for eDelivery, you can view and download your account statements and other important documents. Select the documents you want, then click View & Print.
