Go to TIAA.org and log in to your account any time.
Once logged in, you’ll quickly see how your portfolio is doing. Action buttons and other links can provide account details to help you manage your investments.
There are several ways you can manage your account online. You can display your account information by employer, plan or contract. For each plan, click Actions to open a transactions menu, then choose the one you want.
Alternatively, you can click My Account at the top of your home page and choose from a menu of choices. Select Manage Investments in the Retirement Plans & IRA section for a list of transactions available to manage your investments.
Click MyAccount atthe top of your account home page to open the menu of choices for managing your account. Then, select Research Investments in the Retirement Plans & IRA section.
Use this overview page to see the investments available in the plans and accounts you have. Green check marks will indicate the investments you’re in today. Hover over or click on the investment names to open performance details.
Look for the I Want To list of frequently used links – you’ll find this on several pages.
Use the Transfer Between Accounts button to move money from one retirement account you have with TIAA to another in the same plan. Note that there may be certain restrictions for some transfers depending on plan rules.
You will automatically see the Simple screen ready for you make your transfers. This option moves your money proportionally across all investment options. You can choose the Custom option for greater control over how you want to move your money.
Use the calendar button to input the date you want to make the change. You can choose a date within the upcoming 12 months. Select how you want to manage your transfers—by dollar amount or percent of your available funds.
You may see information messages along the way about your plan that can help you make your decisions.

You’ll find a list of the accounts where you currently hold assets. Use the boxes on the right-hand side to indicate how much you want to transfer from which account(s). Your allocations must add up to 100% or match the total dollar amount.

The Transfer Summary will refresh to as you make your transfer selections. When you’re comfortable with your selections, click the Terms and Conditions check box, then click the Submit button. Not ready? Use Save and Return Later if you want to consider your options further. Of course, you can use Cancel to start over.
As you go through the transfer selections, you can get a quick view of your current investment mix. Click the link at the top of the page for a pie-chart view of the current state of your investment allocations.
The Custom transfer option allows you to specify how and where you want to move money between accounts. To begin, use the boxes on the right-hand side to indicate how much you want to transfer from which account(s). Your allocations must add up to the total dollar amount. When you’re ready, click Continue to move on.
You’ll find the list of accounts available to you. Select how you want to designate your transfer amounts—by percentage, by your allocation on file, or as matching investments.

Take this opportunity to review the summary of your transfer selections. Click the Terms and Conditions check box, then click box the Submit button when you’re ready. Use Save and Return Later if you want to consider your options further. Of course, you can use Cancel to start over.
Once you hit Submit, you’ll see an acknowledgement of your selections.
Keeping an eye on your transaction history is easy. Click My Account at the top of your home page to open the menu of choices for managing your account. Then, select Pending Investment Changes or Manage Transactions from the Retirement Plans & IRA section.
You can select any—or all—of your pending transactions to make changes or cancel them. Keep in mind that changes made before 4 p.m. ET (or market close) will be effective that day; changes made after 4 p.m. ET (or market close) will be effective the next day. Come back to this page to check the status—and we’ll also send you a confirmation of your transactions.
Click My Account at the top of your account home page to open the menu of choices for managing your account. Then, select Statements & Reports.
If you’re signed up for eDelivery, you can view and download your account statements and other important documents. Select the documents you want, then click View & Print.
