Go to TIAA.org and log in to your account any time.
Once you’re logged in, you’ll quickly see how your portfolio is doing. You’ll find action buttons and other links to help you review your account details and manage your investments.
There are several ways you can manage your account online. You can display your account information by employer, plan or contract. For each plan, click Actions to open a transactions menu, then choose the one you want.
Alternatively, you can click My Account at the top of your home page and choose from a menu of choices. Select Manage Investments in the Retirement Plans & IRA section for a list of transactions available to manage your investments.
Click My Account at the top of your account home page to open the menu of choices for managing your account. Then, select Research Investments in the Retirement Plans & IRA section.
Use this overview page to see the investments available in the plans and accounts you have. Green check marks will indicate the investments you’re in today. Hover over or click on the investment names to open performance details.
Look for the I Want To list of frequently used links – you’ll find this on several pages.
Use the Rebalance Account button to help you maintain a consistent portfolio over time—an important factor in reaching your retirement goals. Rebalancing enables you to choose where you want to move your existing balances and your future contributions. And you can do it any time.
Select one of your accounts and you’ll see a chart of your investment mix, broken down by asset classes, and a listing of the funds in each.
You can decide when you want to rebalance your account—by making a one-time change, setting an automatic annual rebalance, or both.
Select whether you want to apply the new investment mix you’re choosing to your future contributions.
You’ll find a list of the funds available in your plan, grouped by asset classes. Use the boxes to indicate how much you want to allocate to each choice. Your choices have to add up to 100%. For quick reference, you’ll see your asset allocation pie chart shift with your new selections. Want to start over? Use the Clear button at the top of the page to reset your selections to 0%. Click Continue when you’re ready to move on. Not ready? Click Cancel and start again later.
You may see information messages along the way about your plan that can help you make your decisions.
Want to reconsider your selections before moving on? Click Go Back to revise your selections. When you’re comfortable with your selections, click the box to confirm your review and use Submit to process your selections. Of course, you can use Cancel to stop the process and come back to it later.
Once you hit Submit, you’ll see an acknowledgement of your selections. You’ll also see convenient links to more actions you can take to manage your account.
Keeping an eye on your transaction history is easy. Click My Account at the top of your home page to open the menu of choices for managing your account. Then, select Pending Investment Changes from the Retirement Plans & IRA section.
You can select any—or all—of your pending transactions to make changes or cancel them. Keep in mind that changes made before 4 p.m. ET (or market close) will be effective that day; changes made after 4 p.m. ET (or market close) will be effective the next day. Come back to this page to check the status—and we’ll also send you a confirmation of your transactions.
Click My Account at the top of your account home page to open the menu of choices for managing your account. Then, select Statements & reports.
If you’re signed up for eDelivery, you can view and download your account statements and other important documents. Select the documents you want, then click View & Print.
